He went on to note that his company has provided jobs to several young people and paid taxes, making it a thriving business and enjoys a reputation for customer satisfaction in the country, notably by delivering motorcycles and installing charging stations across the country.
Spiro Rwanda, a company that has already established the largest electric charging network on the continent, with 156 stations spread across the country. Mr. Burman, CEO of SPIRO Rwanda, said his company plans to expand its charging infrastructure to 400 stations by August 2025.
With rapid growth, it aims to meet the needs of the growing number of electric motorcycle riders and promote a greener future. “Our goal is to deploy 25,000 electric motorcycles,” said Ngabire. “We are working with banks to offer affordable loans to riders, enabling them to generate income quickly and sustainably.”
SPIRO aims to transform urban transportation by expanding its operations in Rwanda and beyond. With a mission rooted in sustainable development, innovation, and economic empowerment, SPIRO currently operates more than 22,000 electric motorcycles in seven African countries.

SPIRO attributes this problem to disruptions in the global supply chain, including delays in raw material shipments and high demand for its electric motorcycles.
