Ambassador Igor Marara Kayinamura has officially presented his credentials to Kuwait’s Foreign Minister, Abdullah Ali Al-Yahya, granting him the authority to represent Rwanda’s interests in the country.

After handing over the credentials on Wednesday, January 22, 2025, Ambassador Kayinamura promised that the two countries would continue to strengthen their relationship.
In 2013, President Paul Kagame visited Kuwait for the third Africa-Arab States Summit.
In December 2015, Kuwait supported Rwanda with over 11 billion Rwandan Francs to help build the Nyagatare-Rukomo road in the Eastern Province.
In September 2019, Rwanda and Kuwait signed agreements on air transport.
