The German research institute STATISTA shows that in 2025, e-commerce in Rwanda will be worth 373.70 million US dollars, with an expected growth of 25.83% between 2025 and 2029.

In the next five years, approximately one million people are expected to participate in the online market.

Regarding e-commerce, Rwanda has started to reap the benefits, although it will take time, as it is a continuous development process. E-commerce is expected to become an integral part of daily life.

There is no turning back; the growth trend must continue, and it is important for businesses to learn how to better utilize these platforms to avoid obstacles that could hinder their progress in this trade.

In the third quarter of 2024, the information and communication technology sector grew by 19% of the country’s GDP.
